Project #7: Architecture

This is a Level 2 Eyeball It!® Project. Before doing this project, kids should do Project #3: Sculpture with Found Materials (Junk!). Kids will learn skills and develop ideas that are necessary for Project #7.

This project introduces children to architecture, and guides them through imagining, designing and building a model of their own unique building - their own ideal place to live and/or work, either when they're grown up or now. Uses recycled cardboard (ex: small boxes, flat pieces) and other found materials, plus their art materials.

This is the first Eyeball It!® Project that introduces children to the work of major artists to expand their world-view, their imaginations, and their possibilities. In this project, children meet a diverse group of award-winning architects and see photographs of one building by each architect.

After this new Project is tested, you'll see a Lesson Plan and Read-along.
